October 7th Update

I have been dreading making this post. The Blade has been going slowly for a number of reasons, including, but not limited to: Lack of time to get the guys together to film, and the best animator a guy could ask for (Mcdoogleh/Nabsuh, of course) is also working on Prophecy (among other things). As of now, The Blade is on hold. I wish there was some good news.

The infection is coming...

May 20th Update

I promised an update by Tuesday, and here it is. Nothing awesome like a view of the script (which isn't that interesting, I suppose). Instead, I have the first of what I hope is to be many small interviews with my crew. First up is James McKinney. This interview is short, light-hearted, and consists of questions like what's your name, what's your favorite part of working on it, etc. A more serious one may or may not follow, but I hope that one will. This should give anyone who watches it a look into the people behind The Blade.

Please note that this video is Youtube, and will not be up for a short time. When it is, however, it should appear above.

May 12 Update

It's good to be writing an update after these many long months (just over two, I believe). First, I'm going to explain why there has not been an update. Simply, there has not been anything to update. Until last night. Unfortunately, my internet connection was messed up (Comcast sucks, avoid it if you can) and I couldn't post. Just what is this piece of information? The final draft of the script has been completed. Now, this is not to say I have been filming without a script. This final draft is just a polishing of the dialogue and addition of scenes. For example, in the first draft, Commander Trey Smith's job of evacuating a Colonel didn't flow well. Now, however, it fits in quite well.

That's about it for this update, but expect one by next Tuesday. I'm going to try to update a little more often, and get The Blade out as soon as possible. Now, to finish things off, I'll throw in a small shot of the script:

February First Update

Well, first I'd like to say sorry for the lack of updates, and I hope you all had a great Holiday Season (even if it was over a month ago). I have promised something for tonight, and even though it's the second of February where I am, it's still the first in parts of the world, so it's all good. I don't have a teaser pic, or a crew pic, or any other little things like that. Instead, I have http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXdVxVQ1Vac. It's youtube this time around, instead of good ol' mythica.org. Which brings me to another point.

As everyone reading no doubt knows, mythica.org is going down at the end of the month, meaning I have no reason to upload there anymore. This is a blow to the community, and mythica will never be forgotten.

Now, I will have the video above actually on the site in the morning, but I don't have time now. And when I figure out how to work this series of tubes called the "Interwebz", I will even be able to offer a download. So until then, enjoy the new trailer, and see you next update!

UPDATE: Due to a misunderstanding (mostly my fault, unfortunately) the guy who made the music that I used in the latest trailer has requested that it be taken down. I have done so, meaning the link is useless. I will be replacing the music and putting it back up soon.
